Colombian Roots.
Adelaide Home.

David Lizcano Tennis Academy was built in Adelaide, but the way we understand sport began long before that, in Colombia.
We grew up in a sporting culture where passion, determination and resilience are part of the way you train. You compete with hunger, you fight for every point, and you keep going when things get difficult.

That Colombian spirit is at the heart of the DLTA coaching philosophy. We combine that intensity and passion with structured, high-quality coaching to help players develop not only their technique, but also their confidence, discipline and competitive mindset.

For us, tennis is about more than learning how to hit a ball. It is about learning to compete, to believe in youself, to handle pressure and to keep fighting when things dont go your way.

Born from Colombian passion. Built in Adelaide.

Common Questions

What programs do you offer?

We offer tennis programs for all ages and levels, including Private Coaching, Adult Group Lessons, Hot Shots for kids, and Social Tennis. Whether you are picking up a racket for the first time or looking to improve your game, we will help you find the right program for your goals and level.

What equipment do I need?

For your first lesson, all you need is comfortable sportswear and suitable shoes. If you dont have a racket yet, please dont rush to buy the cheapest one from a local store. Try some of the rackets we have first, and we will help you choose the right one for you, whether new or second-hand. Choosing the right racket is an important part of your tennis journey.

Tennis shoes recommended. But if you dont have them yet, wear shoes with good grip and lateral support. We recommend avoiding running shoes, as they are designed primarily for forward movement, while tennis involves frequent changes of direction. The right footwear can help you move more safely on court and reduce the risk of injury.

How do I register for a trial?

The best way to get started is by contacting us directly on WhatsApp. Tell us a little about your tennis experience, what you are looking to achieve, and your availability on both weekdays and weekends and also preferred location. From there, we will recommend the most suitable coach and program for you and organise your trial session.

Where are you located?

We currently coach across two Adelaide locations: Pooraka Tennis Club and Brighton Tennis Club. Available programs and coaching times vary between locations, so contact us and we will help you find the option that best suits your level and availability.

What If I have more questions?

We are always happy to help. If you are unsure which program is right for you, have questions about coaching, or simply want to chat before getting started, send us a message on WhatsApp. We will be happy to answer your questions and help find the best way to start your tennis journey with DLTA.
